this time I discovered a really magic wolrd sorrounded by nature and mountains: Pietra Perduca. It's a ancient pagan althar just in the middle of nowhere. DUring the day it has a black color but during sunset rocks become red, a suggestive red.
I like the macig and surreal atmospehere you can breath here. A simple path of about 20 minutes take you to this special place. All around you can see nature and not so far you can see Pietra Parcella, that you can visit but the path are more difficult and long then Pietra Perduca.
The water that gushes from the rock is a pure and according to the people that live near Perduca, they say that the water never evaporates even during the hottest days of summer.
It seesm that there, during Celtic period, were held rituals dedicated to the god Penn, in fact you can see some little niches, where probably, priests put cups with fuel oil.
The ancient temple dedicated to Minerva was transformed in a curch dedicated to S. Anna, and before becoming only a place of summer festival, it was the place where people celebrated marriage or childrens blessing
thanks to the magic waters.
During S. Anna (the of July) it's the only period during whcih the little curch is open, but it's better to go in the early morning not to find too many people.
There is the possibilty to make pic nic, you'll find some benches and tables to eat there and you can stay here all the time you want.
