my last stopon this first itinerary along Francigena way is Borgo Val di Taro, that is considered the capital of Taro Valley.
It was founded during the roman period, but durin the Second World War the city was was the scene of many episodes linked to the Resistance and during the 1985 the city was awarded with the Gold Medal of Honor.
Today Borgo Val Di Taro is famous thanks to its mushrooms. The city is sorrounded by wonderful mountains.
With love
Sigyn
