even if it wasn't a good day, I decided to visit a small village called Compiano. It's about 500 m on the sea and it has only 1100 habitants.
First news of Compiano appeared as Carolingian fortess around the IX century and the became propriety of marquis Malaspina who gave it to the free town of Piacenza in the 1257 until its was give to Umberto Landi.
1630 prince Federico Landi remained without heirs.
1966 marquis Lina Raimondi Gambarotti bought the castle transformed it into a elegant residence.
When marquis Gambarotti died the castle passed to the town of Compiano.

Where to eat: there are some restaurants inside Grazzano or you can find a lot of nice place to eat around it.
