Veleia

Dear Tom,
Veleia is a unique city in the apennini near Castell'Arquato. It's an ancient Roman cityof small dimentions, but it had everything. It's territory was around 1200 km. It streched between the actual provinces of Genova, Tortona, La Spezia, Parma and Piacenza.
The last traces that indicate it was inhabited date back to the V century of the catholic era. Some water infilrations were the cause of the slow abandoned of the city.
Only during 1747 tabel "alimetaria" was found and only 13 thanks to Filippo Borbone, duchy of Parma, excavations were initiated and the wonderful city was found again.
Only during the 1994 excavation was initiated again in order to find the temple and the acropoli that weren't found.
When I went there there was the "Infiorata", like in Chiaravalle della Colomba. Here in Veleia.
With love,
Sigyn
