D'Olgisio fortess was built ruing the 1000. During the 1378 the fortess was given from Gian Galeazzo Visconti to Jacopo dal Verme, who was the valian winner of the battle between Alessandria and Florence.
During the Second World War the fortess became the head office of the II Partisan Division of Piacenza and it suffered a lot of attack and structural breakups.
